But here's the thing, catching those Z's alone might not be enough. We also need to incorporate moments of rest while we're awake. Yes, you read that right – we need "me time" even when we're not sleeping. Now, I'm not talking about zoning out in front of the TV or endlessly scrolling on our phones. True rest comes from engaging in activities that bring us joy and allow us to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life. Think golfing with friends, solving crossword puzzles, exploring your artistic side, reading a good book, or simply spending quality time with loved ones.
I Love Me
And you know what all of this comes down to? Loving yourself. It's absolutely essential. Why? Because how we treat ourselves sets the tone for everything else in our lives. If we prioritize others or work over our own well-being, we end up running on empty, and that's not sustainable in the long run. Trust me, I've been there! So, let's make a pact to be kind to ourselves and make sure we give ourselves the time and care we deserve.
Prioritize
Remember, it's not selfish to take care of yourself – it's necessary. When you prioritize your rest and well-being, you're actually better equipped to handle life's demands and challenges. You'll find that those buttons people used to push will become more like unimportant background noise.
