Thanksgiving Gratitude Leaves: A Creative Art Project for Thanksgiving
As Thanksgiving approaches, there’s no better way to celebrate than by creating something heartfelt, mindful, and truly special. This week, I’m excited to share Part 1 of my latest YouTube project: Thanksgiving Gratitude Leaves! These watercolor leaves are not only fun to make but serve as a beautiful reminder of gratitude and the spirit of the season. Plus, they make stunning, personalized decorations for your Thanksgiving table.

What You’ll Need:
For this project, I’m using **Dr. Ph Martin’s Radiant Concentrated Watercolors**, which come in a beautiful range of colors that really pop on paper. But don’t worry if you don’t have them—tempera, gouache, or acrylic paints work just as well!
In this session, I share colors from my own starter pack, featuring gorgeous blues, greens, and warm autumn tones, perfect for creating a fall-inspired palette. These watercolors come in glass jars with droppers, making it easy to mix and apply colors with precision.
Step 1: Setting the Mood with a Guided Meditation
Every project starts with a mindful pause. This week’s Guided Meditation is designed to help you connect with your breathing and visualize light and energy flowing through you, a great way to prepare yourself for a creative, relaxing experience.
Step 2: Creating Your Thanksgiving Gratitude Leaves
The magic of this project is in its simplicity and its meaning. Each watercolor leaf you paint will be a unique piece, vibrant and delicate. Here’s where it gets extra special: as you make these leaves, think about what you're grateful for. Each leaf becomes a small canvas of gratitude and self-reflection.
How to Use Your Gratitude Leaves:
1. Festive Garland: String the leaves together to make a beautiful garland for your Thanksgiving celebration.
2. Table Decor with a Personal Touch: Place a few leaves at each seat on your table. Invite your guests to take a moment to reflect and write down three things they’re grateful for on the back of each leaf. It’s a meaningful and memorable way to spark gratitude and conversation!
3. Gratitude Bowl: Keep these gratitude leaves in a bowl and pick one each day for a dose of positivity.
This project is just the beginning! I’ll share Part 2 next week, so stay tuned for more ways to add creativity and intention to your Thanksgiving.
Step 3: Ending with an Oracle Card Reading
After the project, I wrap up with an oracle card pull from *Spiritual Awakening* by Dr. Rev. Erin Fall Haskell. Today’s card, *The Law of Mental Equivalent,* is about using our thoughts and imagination to turn dreams into reality. This is the second time we’ve drawn this card, so it’s definitely an important message for us to reflect on: life mirrors our thoughts and beliefs, and each moment holds the power to shape our reality.
