Today's #WednesdayWins is the warmer weather today. Yesterday was -30, I believe, and it was biting cold. When I went out today, it felt like it was spring (I think it was -5)! Clearly, it isn't, but one can always dream!
The reason I am thankful for the warmer weather is for all those without a home. We have a stray cat that comes to our home, numerous times a day, and I feed it and try to keep it warm. Unfortunately, in all of Northern Alberta, there is no available foster to take in stray cats; they are full...they even turned away kittens before I called. So, I feed Quattro (Four) to give his body a fighting chance and Suheel bought him a shelter with a heated floor.
Even when I came downstairs at noon, Quattro was in the house, even though it was much warmer than the morning, waiting for me to feed him. I feed him some wet food to fill his belly. He then cleaned himself and went on his way.
I am thankful for the heated floor shelter...but I am truly thankful for the warmer weather.
