There are different types of paints: watercolours, acrylics, gouache, tempera etc. But did you know that there are different types of acrylics? There are full-body, regular, fluid acrylics etc. What I am about to show you today are differences between brand names. The differences are Golden and Liquitex between Americana and Deco acrylic paints. Golden and Liquitex are considered artist quality paints, while Americana and Deco are viewed as hobbyist paints. The difference between these sets of paints is that Golden and Liquitex are thicker in comparison to the Americana and Deco paints. With my upcoming class called My World Rocks!, Americana and Deco work well for things such as mandala work as they flow off the stylus smoother. But using Liquitex and Golden make creating the mandala harder because of the thickness of the paint. So you see, it is important to use the correct type of paint for the job.
