Today on this #TuesdayToolsAndTechniques , we are seeing what artist of the present, and the past, have used to make sense of colours in their palette (it isn't this specific colour chart that they used). Artists have used colour charts to figure out a specific colour mixed with another, or artists have used colour charts to figure out the colour mixes with an artwork's specific colour scheme. The one I share with you, in the video, is a generalized colour chart where specific colour is mixed with another colour. This is very helpful as it is a quick reference that the artist can use with various colours. As well as being helpful to an artist by showing him/her new colours that they are seeing for the first time and loving them, and thus pick up those colours (i.e. buy). What a special art tool!
