Not all things are the same. It's like that way with acrylics. A lot of people think of acrylics as paint in tubes. Acrylics comes in different consistency. There is the craft hobbyist acrylic paint that is thinner, while the artist tubed acrylic paint is thicker. There is also a type called Fluid Acrylic. This is where the colour is intense but it is very liquidy. I also have acrylic paints that are in pens. These are fun paints that are great for details. And then, there is the acrylic inks; this is wonderfully coloured paints that are very fluid in their flow! So it is a matter of finding out what kind of paint you need for your project, and using that paint. For painting mandalas and using dotting stylus, you would use the craft acrylic paint. For painting on canvas, you can use the tubed paint and the Fluid Acrylic paint. There is loads of fun using the variety of acrylic paints!
