I love reading modern prose and poetry books that have to do with us, humans, and our development into our personhood. An example of this is Canada's famed poet Rupi Kaur's Milk and Honey. But a few days ago, in Chapters, I found a book by Brianna Wiest named Ceremony. The cover's title and the author's name is with gold font, and in addition is a large reflective, mirror like rectangle. Looking at this golden rectangle, I can see a bit of myself. I then project that this book may contain glimpses of myself and perhaps to remind myself that I am golden.
Written on the cover's flap is this, "Ceremony is a book written around the idea that the most unlikely moments are often the very ones offering us a chance to meet ourselves more deeply; it is a book for the ones who are ready to stop waiting and wondering and dive all the way into who they were meant to be."
So this is my #FridayFinds and what a special find! I look forward to lighting a candle and sitting down with this book to read; a perfect, quiet moment to reflect and ponder.
