Abstract Mixed Media Quads: Add the Final Touches (Part 2)

Are you ready to take your artwork to the next level? In my latest YouTube video, we’re completing our Abstract Mixed Media Quads project with those final, magical touches that make each piece uniquely yours. If you missed Part 1, don’t worry—you can still jump in and add your personal flair to these smaller abstract works.

This project is all about exploring creativity while finding a sense of calm and joy. As an art teacher with over 25 years of experience and a wellness practitioner, I love blending art and mindfulness to help reduce stress and spark inspiration. This video is no different, offering you a creative outlet alongside moments of relaxation and reflection.

What’s in This Video?

In this session, we’ll finish our abstract quads with beautiful detail work using various inks, pencil, and gold watercolor paint. These final layers add texture, color, and personality to your pieces.

I’ve also included a section on Featured Supplies, showcasing materials perfect for adding detail to your abstract works. These include:
- Acrylic inks
- Pencil crayons
- Pearlescent acrylic inks
- Acrylic pens and markers
- Charcoal
- Water-soluble pencils and crayons

While some of these were featured, today’s project focuses on just the inks, pencil, and gold watercolor paint to complete the quads.

Guided Meditation: Imagined Oasis

Before we dive into the art project, take a moment to relax with a simple and effective guided meditation. The Imagined Oasis meditation combines slow, intentional breathing with visualizing your favorite peaceful environment, real or imagined. It’s a practice you can use anytime to find calm and clarity.

Oracle Card Inspiration: The Blessing of Feelings

To close our session, we’ll pull an oracle card from Namaste: Blessing & Divination Cards by Toni Carmine Salerno. Today’s card, The Blessing of Feelings, encourages us to fully embrace and express our emotions. It’s a gentle reminder that feelings are meant to flow, not be bottled up.
