Supply Checklist
Household items
- “Dotting Tools” – crayon, pencil, end of paint brush, Qtips, bobby pin
- 8.5”x11” paper (to print out handouts or draw out handouts, to blot paint or test strokes)
- Cup of water
- Eraser
- Exacto knife
- Newspaper
- Old rag
- Painter’s Tape ¼” (6mm) preferred over Masking tape
- Palette (plastic lid)
- Paper towels
- Pen
- Pencil
- Pencil crayons
- Plastic wrap
- Scissors
- Sponge
- Toothpicks
- Variety of papers – wrapping paper, tissue paper, napkins etc.
- Wax paper
Artist/Craft supplies
- Acrylic paint (favourite colours and black, white, yellow, blue (cobalt), red, orange, purple, green)
- Acrylic paint pens
- Archival black ink (fineliner)pens
- Brushes – small & narrow (00, 0/2, 0 and/or 1), medium (2, 3 or 4)
- Chiyogami paper (printed orgami type paper) (unless using wrapping paper, tissue paper, napkins etc.)
- Dotting Stylus Tools – sets: (optional – if you choose to use household “Dotting Tool”)
- Imitation gold leaf with adhesive and sealer – gold leaf/gold foil - Gilding adhesive set
- Japanese Rice paper with filaments, string, fibers, wood – 1 sheet (unless using wrapping paper, tissue paper, napkins etc.)
- Matte Gel Medium or Modge Podge
- Pencil crayons
- Rocks, smooth - Approximately 2 – 3.5” (5-9ish cm) round (found or bought)
- Rubber cement (optional)
- Rust–o-leum clear, sealer spray (gloss, satin or matte, your choice)
- Small gesso
- Uni-ball Signo pen (unless using Acrylic paint pens)
- Watercolour paper – 140 lb or 300 lb cold press if you don’t want to paint on rocks and you want to paint on paper
